Boots and Beer Auction
Experience an exciting evening of delicious food, from areas chefs, paired with unique craft beers. The night also features live and silent auctions. Held each year in May this event is one of Boot Hill Museum’s key fundraisers.

Enjoy a day along Front Street with the whole Family! In addition to our regular schedule of events the day also features many other activities. Play old fashioned games with the Boot Hill Gunfighters and Can Can Dancers, eat your fill of watermelon and try your skills at a seed spitting contest! The day caps off with an outdoor Variety Show Extravaganza! The cast of the Long Branch Saloon Variety show puts on one of the biggest performances of the year featuring LIVE music from the Dodge City Cowboy Band.

A Dodge City Days Tradition! Every year, on the last Friday in July, we fire up the fryers and go NUTS on Front Street! Boot Hill kicks off Dodge City Days with a great meal of Calf Fries, Slow Roasted Beef Brisket, Potatoes & Onions, Baked beans and Coleslaw. Pepsi and iced tea are included. Alcohol is sold separately. Tickets are sold at the gate. Event shirts are available.

For over 20 years the Boot Hill Gunfighters have been producing the annual “Big” Gunfight. So named because it includes over 50 entertainers and spreads action down the ENTIRE Front Street block! See fights, stunts, robberies, a little humor, and maybe even a hanging! Even Miss Kitty’s Can Can dancers get in on the fight! Admission is free. On the first Saturday each August at ‘high noon,’ this is a show you DON’T want to miss.

Each year Kansas cowboys are honored for their contributions to the western life.  Awards are granted in five categories: Working Cowboy, Cowboy Historian, Cowboy Entertainer/Artist, Rodeo Cowboy and Rancher/Cattleman. The Kansas Cowboy Hall of Fame is a project of Boot Hill Museum, Inc. and was developed to preserve and honor the life of the Kansas Cowboy.

Every year, on the first Saturday in December, Santa makes a stop at Boot Hill Museum! Enjoy breakfast, crafts, story time, train rides, and of course a visit and photo with the big guy himself! Tickets in advance and at the door day of event.
