An Evening of Food, Entertainment and Beer Tasting

Boot Hill Museum will be holding the inaugural ITC Great Plains “Boots and Beer” event on Saturday April 16, 2011. The fundraiser will help support the redevelopment planning process that is underway. The evening features a specialty beer tasting. Chef Ryan Emery will present six dishes of fabulous food paired with specialty beers from the Tallgrass Brewery. While dining, guests will enjoy great music by Chris Aarons and will be able to browse the selection of auction items that will be called later in the evening. Auction items include hand-made spurs, tickets to the 9th and 10th rounds of the 2011 WNFR, limited edition artwork, handcrafted Navajo silver jewelry and other fabulous items. The evening will culminate with a program to honor the founding Jaycees and our first Miss Kitty, Rosemary Mock.

The Boot Hill Museum Board of Directors has actively been working on a redevelopment plan that honors Dodge City’s history, preserves Front Street, provides space for expanded exhibits and events, and positions Boot Hill Museum as a first-class Western History Museum the whole community can be proud of. The Boots & Beer event is a great way to learn more about the plan and show your support for “A Better Boot Hill.”
